SkyDust 3D is a commercial polyphonic spatial synthesizer plug-in by Sound Particles — described as the world's first synthesizer with full 3D-audio support per voice. Up to 8 oscillators per voice (subtractive, FM, or hybrid synthesis), 256-voice polyphony, polyphonic step sequencer, MPE support, and per-oscillator spatial movement controlled by envelopes, LFOs, and movement modifiers. History & Background
Available in two editions: SkyDust Stereo (USD 199, stereo + binaural only) and SkyDust 3D (USD 399, all immersive formats). Plug-in formats VST / VST3 / AU / AAX. The current version is 1.5.x, which adds sample import (over 100 oscillator waveforms), expanded modifiers, additional effects, and workflow / EG improvements. A streamlined version, MiniDust (2 oscillators, USD 66 introductory), was released in 2025.
