dearVR is a suite of spatial-audio plug-ins from Dear Reality (a Sennheiser company) for binaural, Ambisonic, and multi-channel immersive audio production up to 9.1.6 and 3rd-order Ambisonics. History & Background
Dear Reality, founded in 2014 in Düsseldorf, has been a Sennheiser company since 2019. As of approximately 2025, all dearVR plug-ins are available free of charge after subscribing to the Sennheiser mailing list — a change from the earlier commercial pricing model (dearVR PRO 2 was previously USD 199, with Pro 2 launched in January 2024).
